THE BEGINNING
Siliguri Model High School (Sr. Sec.) opened its doors in the year 1989 as Siliguri Model High School with a handful of students and a few teachers and founder head of the school Dr. S. S. Agarwal. Classes were held in a rented space adjacent to Mahananda Bridge, Siliguri. By 1994 enrolment had grown to 500 + and moved to Gurung Nagar which is centrally located adjacent to Hill Cart Road/Air View More known as “Heart of Siliguri”. It kept on growing with a motive to train young minds to face challenges of life and developing various life skills so that these children learn to serve the country and community with wisdom, conviction and compassion. Junior and Secondary sections of the school were settled, in the year 1995 into a non-proprietary registered trust namely ‘SHANTI DEVI MEMORIAL TRUST’ (Regd.) for the larger interest of the community/learners. In the year 2002, our school got affiliated to CBSE, New Delhi. The first batch of students appeared for X/AISSE in the year 2004 and subsequently for XII/AISSCE in the year 2006. TODAY, since 1989, we are holding an experience of 30+ years in the field of education with our MODERN STATE-OF-THE-ART-CAMPUS situated at Ashagram, Baropathuram mouza, P.O.: Ranidanga-734012 (Near North Bengal Medical College, Kawakhali, Siliguri)

We are an independent, private, day school for the students of Grade Pre-Nursery to XII. We have all provisions to provide quality education to qualified (normal) students and students with special abilities.

Our New campus with an area of 4 Acres (1,74,240 sq.ft.) with buildup G+3 Area 1 lakh 36 thousand sq. ft stands proudly to cater to the highest quality education in a beautiful and uplifting environment. Along with traditional lessons, we encourage our students to open their minds to a myriad of co-curricular activities, from Music and Dance to Swimming and Games.
